Less than 24 hours to the opening game of the long-awaited TotalEnergies AFCON 2021, Cameroon Football Federation’s President, Samuel Eto’o has delivered a keynote message to players and staff of the national team.
“I came to tell you to thank you for accepting to represent the heart of 27 million Cameroonians,” Samuel Eto’o told players and staff at the Mundi sports complex in Yaoundé recently.
As the indomitable lions finalise tactics to square up with the Stallions of Burkina Faso in what appears to be a battle for supremacy, President Eto’o Fils is aware of the stake characterising Sunday’s showpiece.
It is against this backdrop that he promised the Cameroon team and staff that FECAFOOT is available to accompany them all through the journey ahead.
“We are available to bring all you need to satisfy the aspiration of Cameroonians,” revealed the erstwhile Cameroon forward cum administrator.
Talking about the preparedness of the team during a prematch media outing Friday, January 08, team captain, Abubakar Vincent disclosed that they have got what it takes to dismantle Burkina Faso at the Paul Biya Stadium, Sunday 5:00pm.
The foot soldiers of coach Antonio Conceicao da Silva Oliveira have met with Burkina Faso seven times, recording four wins, two draws and a loss.
Meantime, bookmakers have predicted that Cameroon – Burkina Faso game is going to be an electrifying one as the Stallions hope to change the writing on the walls of never winning their first group stage match in the history of the AFCON.
