The Meta Cultural and Development Association, MECUDA, has donated
the sum of 602, 300 FCFA as assistance to a 15-year-old boy living with disability.
The boy whose name we got as Tawani Godwill is said to be an inhabitant of Njaa, a locality in Mbengwi in Momo division of the North West region.
Tanwani is said to have been born without legs. The boy has been living for 15 years in critical condition.
The donation from MECUDA follows a recent appeal said to have been launched by the distressed boy, for people of goodwill to assist him better his living condition.
Speaking after handing the package to Tawani, MECUDA home coordinator, Mbanwi Stephen Anjeh, appreciated all those who have contributed to the relief of the pain of the young boy.
Anjeh used the occasion to encourage the mother of the youngster to never question God for the condition of her son, noting that “everything happens for a reason”
Anjeh also saluted all those who chipped in something to support him, especially those who shared the story on social media. He added that it was through the media that the story went viral.
On her part, Tanwani’s mother expressed gratitude to the donors, for their support towards her son.
“I sincerely want to appreciate every one of you for assisting my son. May God bless the source of your income,” she said.
The boys family also thanked the association and promised them that they will use the money judiciously in taking care of their son.
