The Cameroon Elite One giants rained 9-1 on OFTA on the 22nd day of play in pool B before relegating them to Division two.
Two players Patient Wassou and Marou Souaidou shouldered the game as they found the net 3 times each (Hat-trick) amongst the nine goals scored by Coton Sport of Garoua against OFTA de Kribi.
The other three goals were scored by Siddik, Kokolome, and Daouda Kamilou. This was during the last playing day of the regular season of the MTN elite 1. And it ended with a nightmare for the “kribiens”. They finished in 11th place in their group with 19 points and were automatically relegated to the second division.
OFTA managed to record just 3 wins, 9 loses and 10 draws for the entire session. In this same pool, News stars from Douala will now try to shine in the second division. They finished 12th with 18 points. While Coton Sport finishes in second place with 42 points just behind Eding Sport de la Lékié which has 47 points.
