The Cameroon Military team stood their ground on a 2-1 victory against US Armed force women on day 3 of play in the current World Military Women’s Football Championship in Spokane, Washington, July 13, 2022.
Although both teams were leveled, Cameroon was faster in interceptions, taking shots, and passes which secured their triumph over the dreaded host nation.
Cameroon’s Brigitte Yvanna Mbomozomo opened the scored line 5 minutes into play but was countered By US midfielder Harley Roberson 2 minutes extra in first half. Roberson scored a hat trick in their previous game Against Belgium. This made Cameroon place her in between two defenders.
The second half came with tense moves on both teams till the 79th minute, Cameroon’s Ebika Tabe Brenda scored, giving Cameroon a 1-point lead to win the game 2-1
Cameroon’s coach Ndoumou Mike Josephine revealed she had confidence in her players despite this being their first game.
This win was highly celebrated by Cameroon for beating a team that is a nightmare in the tournament thrashing Belgium 10-0 in their first game.
