Some diehard supporters of the legendary PWD football club have reignited memories of a controversial issue surrounding young star Nchindo John Bosco and the team as the Bamenda outfit intensifies trainings ahead of the Cameroon Cup finale this weekend.
While PWD have been busy with last minutes preparations ahead of a highly anticipated Cameroon Cup finale against ASTRE of Douala, all is not well among some fans who want an official statement from top management on the whereabout of the sensational attacking midfielder, Nchindo John Bosco.
TWIF NEWS understands that, shortly before the 2021 AFCON went underway in Cameroon, the relationship between the management of PWD and the 20-year-old had begun deteriorating over allegations that the former fraudulently established a 4-year contract to acquire the services of the young, promising, and offensive midfielder.
While Nchindo and his father refuse ever signing a contract with PWD, the management of the Abakwa Boys on their part insist that an orthodox deal was made to acquire the player, thereby denying any wrong doing.
The spar between the ambitious attacking midfielder and PWD’s management crescendoed weeks later with the player quitting much to the dissatisfaction of many a supporter.
As the Abakwa boys fine-tune tactics ahead of Sunday’s grand finale against the Brazilians of Bepanda, 20-year-old Nchindo still has the club at heart.
“I wish them good luck in the upcoming game, I love the club so long as my older brother is a player with them,” He revealed, adding that, he cannot however return to the team because of the poor treatment given him.
Commenting on the Nchindo-PWD rift, a Bamenda based football analyst told TWIF NEWS that the young star has given his all to the team as player, stressing that, he could have been given a better treatment.
The pundit disclosed that, some foreign clubs have been scrambling for Nchindo John Bosco’s signature, but he has been unable to embrace any of the new opportunities owing to what the analyst qualified as “an unholy 4-year deal with PWD”.
TWIF NEWS cannot however confirm these allegations.
Meantime, many PWD fans have continued to decry the fact that Nchindo John Bosco is absent from the squad which will square up with the Brazilians of Bepanda, Sunday March 13, in Yaounde.
