The Gabonais national football team may face sanctions from CAF, after violating the rules of the game.
According to a press release from the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Gabon has refused to lodge in the hotel that was reserved for them.
More information from the release says, the players have abandoned La Falaise hôtel in Yaounde and instead moved into Star Land hotel still in Yaounde.
They arrived on Thursday barely 42 hours to the kick-off.
According to CAF, Gabon is going out of the rules, because clubs were notified in August concerning their various hotels, but Gabon did not opt for change.
CAF has asked them to explain why they did not lodge at the La Falaise hôtel, latest today Friday.
The Confederation is also threatening to send the issue to the disciplinary committee if the team fails to comply.
To note is that CAF is in charge of all the lodging of teams, delegations, accredited journalists and others.
