Emblematic Cameroonian captain, Aboubakar Vincent is among 27 players in Algiers ahead of a crusher return leg last round world cup qualifier against Algeria.
The victory hunger Lions arrived Algiers in the morning hours of Monday March 28, visibly set for the 12 million dollar worth clash against the Desert Foxes.
The encounter is thus key to both team who yern for a place in the Qatar 2022 world Cup.
According to Coach Rigobert Song, Aboubakar Vincent will be available for Tuesday’s return game against Algeria.
The 2021 AFCON highest goals scorer was unable to complete the first leg encounter against Algeria in Douala March 25 2022 after picking up an injury before the halftime mark.
“We will see what happens in our next game, but we are sure he will be available to help the team.” The coach said.
Cameroon needs to win Algeria more than a goal margin to secure a final ticket to Qatar 2022.
This, as the boys of coach Song suffered a 1 nil defeat from Algeria at home in the first leg tie.
The last time the two teams confronted each other on the soil of the North African country, they separated on a one one parity.
It is hoped that, Aboubakar Vincent’s presence on the pitch could spur the Lions to the much needed victory.
The encounter will be played at 7pm local time, Tuesday March 29.
