“Influencers In Cameroon Are Prostitutes” – Miss Cameroon
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on WhatsApp

Cameroon’s first model, Julia Samantha Edima has been under attack for giving her opinion about Influencers in the country.

Miss Cameroon 2022’s outing on Vision 4 wasn’t well received as she labelled influencers in Cameroon as prostitutes. She started by saying being an influencer in Cameroon is not a job, adding that she finds it shameful when the word “Influencer” is attributed to everyone.

Julia Samantha went further to intimate that there is nothing like influencers in Cameroon. According to her, prostitutes disguise to be influencers.

“Being an influencer is not a job. I find it shameful that we attribute the term influencer to everyone. Since the dawn of time girls have practiced prostitution, is just that today, we use a veil which is an influencer. But know they are not influencers, they are prostitutes. Today’s influencers don’t have an official job. We don’t know what they do, but every day we see them with valuable handbags. Living a lifestyle which does not match with their incomes.” She said on Vision 4.

The outing by Miss Cameroon has been regarded by many a Cameroonian as an attack on influencers in the country especially as it is a source of living for many.
