The Governor of the North West region of Cameroon says he has had talks with the country’s Prime Minister for a befitting stadium to be constructed in Bamenda.
Adolphe Lele said he was invited by Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute to discuss about the stadium immediately after the Cameroon cup final was played in Yaounde.
“After the finals, the Prime Minister invited me. We didn’t discuss only the issue of the stadium, but also the road issue, and action is going to soon start,” he said.

Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique made the revelation during a press briefing in the region’s capital, Bamenda, Thursday March 17, 2022.
After winning the Cameroon Cup, Governor Adolphe Lele and his population triumphantly welcomed PWD Bamenda Football club with their trophy.
The governor revealed to the population that he is in full support for the construction of a befitting stadium in the region.
He joined the youth with banners and posters bearing messages like “We need a stadium in Bamenda”.
While congratulating the Abakwa Boys for bringing back the Cameroon trophy to the region, Governor Adolphe Lele also said it is a sign of unity especially at a moment the country is in political turmoil.
