Former indomitable lions coach Antonio has asked the Cameroon football governing body, to pay compensation amounting to 1.26 billion FCFA for ending his contract prematurely.
According to the Portuguese lawyer, Fecafoot has breached the new contract extension on August 2021 which states that the former trainer stays in Cameroon till August 2023.
But unfortunately, he was replaced with 45 years-old former National team player Rigobert Song.
Conceicao’s lawyer Jonas Vallina, tables his problem to the media arguing that “Conceiçao considers his dismissal as abusive and asks to receive the cumulative salary of 90,0000 euros monthly (i.e. 60 million FCFA) until August 2023, the date of the end of his contract with Cameroon. Recall that it was in August 2021 that Conceiçao extended his two-year contract as coach of the Indomitable Lions. When he was sacked last February, he had only consumed six months”
“Thus, the state must prepare to pay a large sum of money as compensation to this coach whose departure was demanded and obtained by Samuel Eto’o, the president of FECAFOOT.” His lawyer stated.
According to Actu Cameroon, this complaint came in on March 8th and duration had been given to pay the sum of 1 billion, 26 million before the case is dragged to the football Court of Arbitration.
