Prices of Beer in Cameroon may significantly increase in the months ahead as producers wail about the rise in the cost of production.
SYNDEBARCAM, a syndicate of beer producers
has written a document to the Ministry of Commerce with a proposed price list of beer which range from among from 900 and above.
As stated in the document, beer would probably be sold in Cabarets for 2000frs and provision bars for 900frs.
1.5 litre of mineral water which is sold for 300frs will step up to 500frs.
Below is the complete list of the proposed prices by the Syndicate.
★ Night clubs – Snack bars – Bar (Dancing).
Beer:1500 Juice:1000 Water:500.
★ Cabaret
Beer: 2000 Juice: 1000 Water: 500.
★ Lounge – Piano bar – Cave
Beer: 1000 Juice: 700 Water: 500.
★ Normal bars
Beer: 900 Juice: 700 Water: 500.
★ Gas stations – Bakeries – Beer: 800 Juice: 600 Water: 400.
These prices may go operational on June 1, 2022 as recommended by the syndicate of producers.
