The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel has inaugurated a new hospital in Bamenda with an astonishing gesture that will put a smile on its prospective patients.
The inauguration ceremony which brought together some important dignities from the government, and the Canadian High Commissioner, served as an opportunity for the Moderator to lay the foundation stone to colour the event, Saturday April 23, 2022.
While the PCC’s Moderator donated a brand new TOYOTA Hilux vehicle to the management of the Presbyterian Health Center, PHC, the Mayor of Bamenda II Council, Chenwi Peter donated the sum of 1,000, 000frs to support the health facility kickstart. According to Mayor Chenwi Peter, the money will assist to pay the bill of first one hundred patients in the hospital.
The Moderator said the vehicle will ease patients’ access to the 70-bed ultra modern health facility in Ntamulung, Bamenda, which is expected to provide quality heath services to the population of the North West region and incomers. He added that the vehicle will be strictly used to carry patients either at night or patients who can’t easily move to the hospital.
Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba revealed that the new unit is an inclusive facility for everybody void of religious discrimination.
“No preferential treatment shall be given to any particular person. We will treat all our patients like Kings and Queens,” Rev Fonki said.
The population of the North West region expressed satisfaction and thanked the management of PCC for such a facility, which they say will help the sick and injured, especially as the Anglophone armed conflict persists.
